Rescue Angels strives to provide you an important reminder of how many dogs are euthanized each day at certain types of shelters all around the United States. Each of these innocent animals only has about 48 hours to find a new home before they are put down. With little to no exposure to people, only a small percentage are fortunate enough live.
Because of the irresponsibility of others there is a frightening over-population of of dogs in the Virginia and Maryland area. We believe everyone should know that there are other options available to them instead of paying a large sum of money for the necessary spay or neuter operation. Almost 75% of abandoned or surrendered dogs are related to owned dogs that have not been spayed or neutered. The dogs end up with a litter of puppies that people cannot afford to keep.
